The subject

How tutoring works

Sessions are one-on-one and built around your subject, your reading guide and your exam. We work through the method for the problems your subject actually tests — issue spotting, structure, and what separates a Pass answer from an H1 — using the same approach as the free guides and practice banks on this site. Joseph is a First-Class Honours JD graduate, a former judge’s associate and an experienced law tutor, and has taught law students since 2017. Read the full background →

Common questions

Melbourne law tutoring FAQ

Do you tutor in person or online?

Both. In-person sessions run in Melbourne; online sessions run anywhere in Australia and cover the same material the same way.

Which subjects do you tutor?

The compulsory subjects of any Australian JD or LLB — the Priestley 11 — plus the electives listed on this site. Five subjects also have complete free guides, decision flowcharts and practice banks you can start with today.

Do I need to be a University of Melbourne student?

No. The law is taught by subject, not by university — sessions are matched to your reading guide, whichever law school you attend.

How do I get started?
